BECAUSE NOT ALL
HUMMUS IS CREATED EQUAL!
Why Buy
Mediterranean Delights?
See Below for the Answer...
This message
focuses on the BIG issue going on in the
Hummus World right now!
~Many of our competitors are
pasteurizing
their hummus!~
Why you ask? In order to
lengthen their hummus shelf-life.
Our society has been educated to view pasteurization as a positive thing
initially due to food safety concerns with dairy products.
Though this may be a valid concern for the dairy industry it is
NOT
for hummus and this message was written to explain why!
Please read on….
THE STANDARD DEFINITION OF:
Pasteurization
(or
pasteurisation)
is the process of heating
liquids
for the purpose of destroying
viruses
and
harmful organisms
such as
bacteria,
protozoa,
molds, and
yeasts. The process
was named after its inventor,
French
scientist
Louis Pasteur.
THE
REST OF THE STORY: Not only does pasteurization kill the
“bad” stuff listed above, the process of pasteurization essentially eliminates
nearly all the
“great”
stuff – meaning "Whole Nutrients" from foods!
This is why the dairy & juice industry began fortifying their products
with vitamins and minerals – in order to put back the
“great”
stuff, since we eat & drink these products as major sources of
vitamins and minerals. Inactive enzymes do not do
the body good!
We know for a fact that
no-one is fortifying their
"Natural & Organic" Hummus back with
“great”
nutrients! The
ONLY reason this pasteurization process is occurring in a
non-dairy item such as Hummus is to increase shelf-life and be able to sell long
distance. In return people are not
getting the
“great”
nutrients they believe they are putting into their bodies.
WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE STANDARDS OF THE NATURAL & ORGANIC INDUSTRY
THE BIG QUESTION: How can you have an All-Natural or Organic whole product without “Great” Nutrients?
OUR ANSWER:
You CAN’T!!
